  1. Adding Events

How to Add an Event

Without events, your calendar is sparse, unhelpful, and useless; to make the most out of Timepage, you'll add as many of them as you can. Whether it's a dinner with a friend, a meeting about a new project, or a call with the boss, storing your events in Timepage keeps you organized and informed.

We've made it easy to add events in Timepage, so you can spend less time fiddling and more time getting back to work. Adding events can be done in Day View, Heat Map, or on your own Home screen via 3D Touch, each offering its own benefit and use over the others.

In Day View

Day View is perhaps the most common place to add new events in Timepage, as it features other events, Actions, and more from the day. When in Timeline, tap the day you'd like to dive into to enter Day View–if it's not immediately displayed, scroll up or down.

While in Day View, add an event by either:

  • Tapping the ✚ icon found at the top right of the screen

  • Pulling down until a red arrow appears with the words "Release to add"

After completing one of these actions, type a title, select a time, and tap the ✔️icon above the keyboard to save the event.

In Heat Map

Heat Map is our tool for a monthly overview of your busiest days, showing you the density of events across multiple calendars. Since Heat Map helps you take a look at the bigger picture, you can also see the best times to add events by showing the times when you're most free.

To add an event in Day Map, tap the relevant day in the calendar view and, under that day's header, tap "Add new event." This option will always be at the bottom of the event list and will feature a gray title rather than the white event titles. After adding the event, it will then appear in the chosen date.

With 3D Touch

For 3D Touch-compatible iPhones (iPhone 6s and above), you can use 3D Touch to quickly add events to Timepage from your Home screen. Instead of launching the app and navigating to either Day View or Heat Map, pressing on the Timepage icon will launch you directly into the event creation window.
